Planning & Development
The Planning and Development team plays a major role in implementing and delivering of self-catering developments and government funded projects. The team is capable of bringing in fresh and feasible ideas and is responsible for improving council’s infrastructure and overseeing implementation of heritage activity, events, community developments, recreational activities and business enterprise development. This department has two sections of Building and Beautification.
Building Team
This department is responsible for endorsing plans and policies in accordance with Department of Town and Country Planning and Department of Lands. Other roles of this department includes;
> Overseeing council developments both internal and external within town boundaries and rural boundaries of Ba District
> Evaluating development plans, considering rage of legal, social, financial and environmental factors.
> Analyzing changes in planning policy and laws that affect property development.

Beautification Team
The Beautification Team is responsible for providing appropriate landscaping methodologies in beautifying councils infrastructure and other recreational areas and parks. This team addresses unsightly areas within the town boundaries and other council surroundings. In addition, this department proactively seek out and work cooperatively with key partners to assist in uplifting Ba Town’s cosmetic features and making the town look more welcoming to the users.
