The Ba Township was proclaimed on 11 April, 1939.
Located on the western side of Viti Levu, Fiji Islands famous for its craziness in soccer, home of some largest Business houses in the Country, backed by sugar and agriculture over years with 1666 registered ratepayers and 600 registered businesses. The Town has a well-developed urban center. Ba Town Council has $30million of assets.
Ba Town is divided into five (5) Wards;
Ba is regarded as a resource rich area of Fiji. It evolved from a few trading shops on the riverbank into a thriving commercial center and became the Industrial Capital of Fiji.
